Root Text Editor

When perfoming tasks which do not need root or administrator privileges, use a normal text editor. Only use a root text editor to perform administrative tasks. If you do something wrong in a root text editor, you could mess up your operating system.

Most Linux Distributions

In most Linux distributions, if you click on a text file in the Root File Manager, it will open it with a root text editor.
